Street Graffiti art is a form of creative illustration where the artist articulates his/her opinions on a subject/topic. To support the mission of promoting arts this location was selected for the street graffiti arts project work. The local artists visited the site with the aim to beautify the overlooked old neighborhood areas. Many of the paintings/murals in this street illustrate scenery and people. Arabesque designs are used predominantly along with the remarkable usage of the Arabic calligraphy. The downside in my opinion regarding the location are the vehicles which were parked right in front of the wall paintings, thereby, restricting the visitors from taking full shots of the walls.

Good. But there are not as many as we see on Google.

I wish we have more of this in the eastern province. It’s a small area (a block or two) where you can see graffiti work. It is a great place for taking pics.

The Graffiti Walls of Al Khobar are probably one of it's kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as of date. Oriental Art is a relatively recent initiative, commissioned and executed in the first quarter of 2018, by an all Saudi group of artists, within a span of 10-15 days. These walls are in an old dilapidated neighborhood. The art is vibrant and reflects the conflicting changes of it's society, where freedom of expression is limited. It's mostly calligraphy, abstract and a few 3D illustrations. From the looks of it, this neighborhood is inhabited by immigrant population. I could be wrong! The streets tend to be deserted and a bit eerie, especially if you happen to be a woman. Better visited in groups than solo. There are quite a few vehicles parked along the curb, and getting a clear shot of the artworks may not be easy.

This is one of a kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The graffiti works are superb and adorable. But it's not given the value it needed, in order to convert this into a tourist spot some measures needed to be taken. The graffiti works is done only on a particular area which consists of 5-6 houses. Moreover vehicles will be parked in front of the art works which covers them so this needed to be made a no parking zone.
