The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) is an organization of professionals dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of environmental factors arising in the workplace that may result in injury, illness, impairment, and/or affect the well-being of workers. The Arabian Gulf Local Section (AGLS) offers professional support and a connection to the association outreach, exchanging expertise and sharing of professional knowledge and contemporary science. AGLS was approved and established for the Arabian Gulf region in August 4, 1988 to be an official AIHA local section outside North America. Mission of AIHA-AGLS: Creating and exchanging ideas and knowledge with others involved in the practice of industrial hygiene as well as with other applicable disciplines for the purpose of protecting worker health.
