Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Al-Baghdadiyah Al-Gharbiyah

This bridge is located over the artificial lake whose water is coming from the Red Sea. There is a wooden foot bridge for the pedestrians but not much of a use because people can just cross from the ground across the street. There is also a tall metal sculpture by the corner of the bridge that looks like a heritage house which you can find also in Al Balad. I enjoy the feel of this place. The breeze is cold coming from the lake on a January morning.

My Old Memories in Jeddah In 1926, Ibn Saud added the title King of Hejaz to his position of Sultan of Nejd. Today, Jeddah has lost itshistorical role in peninsular politics after Jeddah fell within the new province of Makkah, whose provincial capital is the city of Mecca.
