This tower has historic significance in Saudi Arabia history. Unfortunately there is no signage to communicate with visitors anything about the structure. Sometime in the past it was better maintained, evidenced by seating and mounting for lighting fixtures that are now removed. There were plans a few years ago by the Royal Commission to create a visitor building. Unfortunately budget and other priorities limit how much the Royal Commission can do. However it is still worth taking a little time to visit up close and stepping inside to see how upper levels of the tower can be accessed.

the tower where their historical source of water as I've read in the articles. but the place is need more attention for beautification, reservation and conservation. it signifies of how the local or nomad. Royal Commission can do something about this to be one of the highlights in jubail for tourism and education.

Good site. Currently, the locality is more of commercial use, Gas station, mini marts, tuk shops and baren ground used by lads for cricket or soccer
