They are not utilising the palace for tourism from my experience. We just saw the ground floor of one section. They can post some information about each sections, what happened when, the architecture etc. They can even charge the visitors like 10 riyal per person. Some guides.

Beautiful palace but it was close we could not see inside beauty

Historical place but unfortunately we could not access it, just walk around and took some pictures, the place is known as landmark in al Kharj, I think it will be a great addition in KSA tourism if the authorities consider..
