We support and advance the science and technology output at KAUST through differentiated equipment maintenance and technical support services in close collaboration with the research community. LEM delivers expert technical support and maintenance of critical research instrumentation. We work in strategic collaboration with the Deans of the Divisions, Directors of the Research Centers and Core Labs, and individual faculty members to ensure that all research-related equipment is continuously serviced and maintained, allowing students, researchers and principal investigators to focus on their science and to advance innovations. LEM also offers technical training courses through the LEM Academy. These short-courses train KAUST students, post-docs, research scientists, and technical staff to expand their understanding of the technology of specific scientific instruments. The resulting technical insights translate to clearer understanding, and higher levels of confidence of the instrument's output. Attendees will also learn how to exploit instrument capabilities.
