We met Ahmad on our trip to Ta'if back in September, just found his name on Google, and it turned out to be a fated meeting because he turns out to be the key to our greater exploration and appreciation of Saudi Arabia at a time when tourism is just taking off in the Kingdom. He's a gem of a guide who showed us the best of Ta'if - excellent English, truly best value for half a day of touring, we were so happy to make sense of our trip, and we remember the delicious lunch at the restaurant where he took us at the end of the tour. But most importantly he gave us tourism brochures that are a wealth of information on the places to see in Saudi Arabia! Today as I write this, we are thoroughly enjoying Tabuk and its many wonderful attractions, thanks to the information we found on the brochures which my husband and I studied carefully and took note of, along with recommendations for hotels and places to eat. Ahmad is also helping us secure accommodation in Al Ula at a time when it's close to impossible to get a booking there. He is very responsive on our queries, reliable and dependable, the most incredibly generous person I've come across with his time and energy, and ever so patient with us as we became desperate to find lodging in Madain Saleh. We travel to Madain Saleh from Tabuk with the reassurance of a place to stay there through his help, and the anticipation of a memorable time to welcome the New Year from Al Ula. Back in September we had a great time in Fayfa and Farasan, moving on south from Ta'if, thanks again to Ahmad's extensive network of tour guides, we were in safe and expert hands and maximised our trip. To us, he's become more than a guide, he's part of the wonderful tourism experience of Saudi Arabia and we are so fortunate to have known him. Thank you!
